D&D Character Sheet Generator

Description

The goal of this project is to produce a character sheet for the pen and paper game Dungeons and Dragons. This is allowed for 5th edition due to Open Gaming Licence located here: http://media.wizards.com/2016/downloads/DND/SRD-OGL_V5.1.pdf.

Context

This provides a real-world example of something that is currently in demand and not yet supplied that can be accomplished with web development tools. There is a building fan-base and very limited competition making this a project to stretch the creative minds of Learners as they solve this issue without readily available external examples.

Distribution

Some example formats could be:

• Printable character sheets
• Viewable webpage sheets with editable functions
• Sheets exported to spreadsheet files

  Specifications

List of specifications (specs) for the completed goal. These are declarative sentences (statements) describing a feature of the final product.

• [ ] Character classes are listed to choose from
• [ ] Feats are listed to choose from
• [ ] Class abilities are automatically populated
• [ ] Spells are listed to choose from
• [ ] Abilities and related skills are auto-calculated and displayed
• [ ] The artifact produced is properly licensed, preferably with the [OGL license][ogl-license].

  Optional

• [ ] Can add classes or character concepts from Dungeon Magazine or other expansion sources
• [ ] Enable and display homebrew options

Just for clarification, this would be like doing the work we did in person, but doing it all online? So maybe when I have a question about what my background choices are, something pops up that lists all choices? Or the same happens with a species? Are we creating a webpage or a form? This sounds cool, I'd love to understand it even better. :)
