Swashplate H4 #400

Hi,
I bought ArduPilot Mega kit. Unfortunately you can set the mode on the
swashplate servos with 4 to 90 degrees. What should I do? I enclose a drawing
of the head.
Best regards
Alberto

I think Robert's looking at this one.

Yes, I am. I left a few questions for him on the forum. Need to know which
Channel out he would like to use. He'll either have to give up another
function, or use one of the Aux pins like 10 or 11.

I would prefer the use of channel 10 or 11 not knowing what kind of work should
be done

It's actually looking like I'm going to use channel 7. If you have APM2, it
will be easy to use, and give up nothing as the Ext. Gyro is on Ch5. If you
have APM1, unfortunately you will lose the option of Ext. Gyro. I think this
is the lesser of 2 evils, since you don't really need an ext. gyro anyway.
Using channels 10 or 11 would be a big annoyance, as you'd essentially have to
solder a servo wire to power, ground, and the signal pin on the side of the
board.

I unfortunately APM 1 and would prefer not to give up around the outside. Where
I can see the steps to use the channels 10 and 11?

So does the code support a H4 swashplate now?

Uh, I think it did, but somewhere it got lost as there was nobody around to
test it. Do you have hardware?

I have a bird, but was holding off on purchasing an APM board. Now I'll have to
acquire one so this can get tested.

Is this for a big Vario? Personally, I don't recommend you try it on something
big and expensive at this point. We're having problems dealing with vibrations
on helicopters. I wouldn't like to see somebody use it on a huge heli at this
point.

Unfortunately, it's big. Do you have a link or two for reading on the vibration
issues?
