Simple mode 30 degree learn left and input for TX are reversed #431

using v2.6

Stable mode fly ok.

when using the gear channel to turn on simple mode. Octo leans around 30 degree 
left and would continue on the path if allowed and crash.  Any input for the TX 
is reversed in this mode.

Turn back to stable mode the model levels quickly and the TX operates correctly

I have checked that the compass is working correctly and is pointing were it 
should by using the mission planner.

I am unable to check what the GPS data is reading.  I have updated the GPS to 
the lastes code.

Andy,
    It's somewhat unlikely that this is a bug in the code.  If the TX is reversed it's more likely that you have the copter facing the wrong way when you armed the motors.  Did you perhaps have it facing you, then armed the motors, then picked it up and spun it around?.
    Another possibility is that your compass simply isn't working.  Although it sounds like you've already checked that.
    The leaning left thing is also very strange..when you set up the flight mode for that switch you of course made it stabilize mode but with the little simple button checked on the right?

something is wrong with your setup. Please check you aren't entering RTL.
