Make MIN_THROTTLE, MAX_THROTTLE parameters #433

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

Some overpowered or underpowered quads, hexas, etc can have problems because
their minimum throttle (currently 200) is too high that they can't descend
quickly enough without actually turning off their engines.

We should allow people to control at least the minimum throttle (and perhaps
maximum) so they can better control the range of output to the motors.

This is now a param available from the mission planner. We're going to push out
a quick patch tomorrow as 2.6.01 so people can have access to this parameter.
It's also lower by default.

So where can we find this parameter in mission planner to adjust?
Thanks,
Rick

@Rick,

In the MissionPlanner, Configuration button, on the left side you should see "Parameter List" (or something very similar) and in there you'll see the nearly 200 parameters we have for arducopter. and the MIN_THROTTLE and MAX_THROTTLE should be in there! hope this helps.

hello everyone,

from my experience guys, I just have to change the esc programe by entering the
menu at the start up. Then you look at your esc manual and you check up what
mean the sound code and you apply changes at start up. You often have soft
normal and high. Depending on the electronic of the market the influences you
have to the multicopter at engin start depends on how they have programed all
of this. So one of you was right by saying go check up your end point, throttle
cali with esc etc....

Well I don't have time to right more clearly, let me know if it helped you butI
have set up the ardupilot mega once in a quadricopter but I never took time to
fly it. So keep informed I am sure the solution is not far.

No sleeping since last night , family is away in vacation and so my bed call me
big time.

I am testing some drone actualy with the french RAID police waow so excited
guys . And I need to find back some info of an old publication. Two guys with
pingpong rackets playing with a quadricopter with IR sensor. I need to get back
this info, if you can help I'll gladly appreciat.

Love to share with total stranger , but I love america and their it happens
everyday in many ways. See you on the forum
