failsafe + Roll P adjustment on a knob? #488

Just toretical question that would ensure me that the failsafe works fine.

Lets say i set my know on channel 6 to control the value of Roll P in a range 
of 0,08 to 0,18.

WHen I do the ground test and i swith off the radio it takes APM some seconds 
(around 3) to realise and display that info on the computer that failsafe was 
triggered.

In the meantime the knob value is out of range causing Roll P to become zero as 
the bug reported in http://code.google.com/p/arducopter/issues/detail?id=428
seams to be unfixed

I have verified it on 2.9 max / min calibrated to 1300 / 1700 (range 1125 - 
1920). Min / max k set to 0.1 / 0.2 and thats the value I got when knob is 
adjusted to "out of range" values that is 1125 / 1920
