flutter works on embedded linux link to flutter-elinux sony's repo most probably most low-cost ereaders should support an embedded linux distro link to existing distros

there need to ask any chinese supplier for embedded linux os and not something like ucos.

kirtanee friendly, sehaj paath friendly, nitnem paath friendly, eyes friendly, satkaar friendly, elderly friendly multilingual friendly (inclusive)

essential hardware features:

low-cost device, so it's available to most people, (INR 3-4k)
touch screen navigation preferred
backlight for dark environment
UI software development kit (should work with flutter or likes)
- for this embedded Linux is a must or a better processor to support android if possible.
- decent performance
very good battery life (like month's battery life with ~ 2 hours daily use)
satkaar protective case

can make the prototype on kindle, by installing linux on it and then porting flutter app to it.

steps:

[ ] install flutter app

status update 1.0 got flutter to run on wayland using flutter-elinux now need to figure out how to run this binary on kindle and preferably full screen.

[ ] need to figure out how to put custom apps in kindle

update 1.1 this can be done using KAUL https://wiki.mobileread.com/wiki/KUAL_What%27s_New#Template_1 binaries can be sent here

could use remote networking for debugging. but not right now I guess https://github.com/sony/flutter-elinux/wiki/Remote-target-devices

right now workflow should be

debug and develop app on laptop

transfer script files manually to kindle to run the app

1 doubt is how a full-screen app would exit, can get ideas from kindle terminal
