Collection cover is used for first movie in collection (List Layout) #397

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Enter a Boxset collection.
2. Ensure movie list is set to List Layout.

What is the expected output?
First movie should be the cover of the movie and not the collection.

What do you see instead?
Boxset collection cover. This also occurs after update boxset cover.

Reproduced in DefaultWide skin v6.1.0.

I haven't been able to reproduce yet.
I tried creating new collection (in GUI - add all to box set) and downloading
cover. Also tried updating cover.

Eureka! -It occurs when the title of your collection is exactly the same as the
first movie in the 'group' (in example 'Star Wars'). So it might not always be
first movie in list. In my test (300) I ended up with the movie cover as
collection cover at first, even after adding/updating collection cover
(probably depends what is in thumbscache). Once cached Collection cover had
replaced my movie cover (even when I removed box set.

Seems it does relate to issue 303, right?

Yes, although issue #303 doesn't mention Group/Collection covers explicitly -
but they should be considered if collection name and movie name are the same.

It's not an issue if you use AMCU to import groups as it normally adds a
'group' name to the group which makes it unique. But if you create groups/box
sets (easily) in GUI, it is possible to choose a collection name the same as a
movie name.
