I tried not to modify too much code as possible. Unified the date formatting is a good choice

Thanks for the PR, fixing #20. I'll try this out later and then merge, since I'm currently not near any computer running gekko ;)

Ok, I have checked you PR - looks good on the Papertrader but breaks Backtesting due to some strange formatting I did there... I'll make another commit to master first, before merging.
