Also seeing this, search by hashags doesn't return any videos. Looks like parsing error from the log. Any thoughts?

i still get this error when im not using vpn or proxy

Did anyone find a fix for this? Finding videos by Trending works But finding videos by Hashtag and author do not work

The cause is that the function attemptAddScripts in Server/tiktok.py file, receives the value 'Trending' for the parameter typeofrequest.

I don't have an environment to develop a fix, but if you ONLY want to download videos by hashtag, you can do this:

Open TikTok-Compilation-Video-Generator\TikTok Server\tiktok.py
Replace line 45: parseType = "itemList" if typeofrequest == "Hashtag" else "items" for parseType = "itemList" #if typeofrequest == "Hashtag" else "items". Like this:

If you apply this fix, the download by Trending and Author won't work.
