Could we please add https://wordpress.org/plugins/google-authenticator/ so that admin users can enable MFA.

Unfortunately this extension would only serve to make more work across the site and more work for the system api - to quote: "If You need to maintain your blog using an Android/iPhone app, or any other software using the XMLRPC interface, you can enable the App password feature in this plugin, but please note that enabling the App password feature will make your blog less secure."

Also states that it's only compatible up to 3.8.3 - the site currently runs wordpress 4.0
