[Universal Robots] Uploading failed: Renci.SshNet / A strongly-named assembly is required. #72

Some users might experience the following bug when attempting to upload a file to an UR controller:

Could not load file or assembly 'Renci.SshNet, Version=2016.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=1cee9f8bde3db106' or one of its dependencies. A strongly-named assembly is required. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131044)

Solution

1. Close Rhino

  1. Open the HAL Robotics Framework installer.
  2. Uninstall HAL.UniversalRobots 4. Close the installer
  3. Re-open the HAL Robotics Framework installer.
  4. Install HAL.UniversalRobots
