I was just wondering who the current custodian/developer for HSIM is? I've developed a simulator for MICADO in Python (www.univie.ac.at/simcado) and will possibly be extending it to cover the imaging parts of METIS over the next year. At some point for METIS I'll also need to implement an IFU mode, however there's no point in re-inventing the wheel. Hence I was thinking about joining forces with you guys here at HSIM to maybe make an all rounder ELTSim package, that would cover all 3 first light instruments. Bit of a long shot, I know, and probably quite a few details to be worked out, re ownership, licensing and blah blah, but I think it would definitely be worth it in the long run.
