• Did we annotate/document the figure and determine the source of the large shifts in 7-day rolling water balance shown at the bottom of #122 ? How about showing the 30 and/or 90 day for the same location to provide context?
  • Note that even without the need for QA, this figure (and all figures) should be publication-ready, that is, they have the minimum:
    1. units on axis
    2. A caption that describes what the image displays in sufficient detail for someone else in our peer groups (but not in our research group) to understand.
    3. A legend showing what the different colored lines/points are (if we are showing multiple time series on the same plot)
• The below graph is smashing! We need to see this for 2021, since it tracks the drought that we have just recently experienced ... which means that we need to:
  1. Develop a work flow to retrieve up to date NLDAS2 data.
  2. This routine should run every day
  3. A great routine would check a database somewhere to determine when the last successful retrieval of data was, and try to catch up to the current date. This is because sometimes we have power outages, network outages, remote data blackouts (NOAA has maintenance or troubles or something), and the data sets can often get out of synch.
  4. Well now, for # 3 above we would need a database, and a data model to store it in... who would have something like that?

Does this graph look better? This one is just for the rolling 7day deficit but I will apply it to the rest!

• Also note that I am now creating graphs for water deficits using wither Hamon or HS for the ET
• Also need to add caption/description

Looking great all, one minor note: can we get the x-axis of these plots to show the month names (Jan, Feb...) rather than Julien day for clarity?
