Checked min temperature using QA code, code was checked from -30C and lower. This resulted in 13 outliers with the maximum outlier of -31.6. The record lowest temperature in Virginia is recorded at -34.4C so these are all within normal ranges. Only from the years 1985 and 1994.

QA update:

None of the tests we have ran so far have flagged anything that would lead us to believe there was an error.

Here are the tests we have run so far:

• Max Yearly Temp > 40C (104F)
• Negative Minimum Precipitation
• Min Yearly Temp < -30C (-22F)
• Number of Precip days > 350

We developed a script to check the land segment time series files with the hourly precip, solar radiation, windspeed, etc. data. However, we have not yet gotten to run tests with it because it takes over an hour to run for one metric because it is checking a value for every hour since 1984 for every land segment in the watershed.
