If you are providing a deployment support to queens version, it would be great

Hello,

I wanted to know if your formulas would work with the current and furture release of Ubuntu and Openstack Queens? I would like to try your code for a technical proof of concept. In addition, recommendations on deploying the two formulas altogether?

Thanks

-Jimmy

One more questions you guys; suggestions for using Let's Encrypt to encrypt the endpoints?

Hi Griffin,

I wanted to know if your formulas would work with the current and furture release of Ubuntu and Openstack Queens?

Our Reply: Currently our formulas supports the Mitaka Release of OpenStack over Ubuntu 14.04 LTS. We are in planning phase to provide the support of OpenStack Queens release by providing the new commit over the same repository.

I would like to try your code for a technical proof of concept. In addition, recommendations on deploying the two formulas altogether?

Our Reply: Saltstack version 2016.3.6 doesn't support deploying two formulas altogether, but it can support deploying multiple formulas on multiple hosts concurrently. And additionally just want to reconfirm if you are looking two deploy multiple functionalities using a single state file, so you can analyze our code base, as we have also created multiple functionalities using a single state file.

One more questions you guys; suggestions for using Let's Encrypt to encrypt the endpoints?

Our Reply: We haven't tried this "Let's Encrypt" tool, and also our project supports majourly on deployment of OpenStack and its endpoints using HTTP only.

Thanks for the prompt response. You know the timeline for the Queens release?

JImmyGriffinNIAID commented 6 years ago

Hi HCLTech-SSW Team,

I was reading through your documentation, I wasn't clear, but it seems that it supports only three machines? What if you have multiple computes and storage?

Thanks

-Jimmy

Hi Griffin,

We have mentioned the steps in section "How to Replicate the OpenStack Deployment (On Need basis)" of the document, please read through it.

This section will explain the procedure to setup more than one instance of each node.

In case of doubts please revert us.

Regarding the timelines of Queens release we are expecting it to publish in Ist or 2nd week of May-18.

Regards, Team HCLTech-SSW.
