using this script with gleam io discord tasks = banned by discord

问题描述

EDIT: i edited the issue report a bit, to make it more detailed.

This script has a huge downside: it instantly causes discord to lock account and wants you to verify by giving phone number. even after giving phone number, it will give you then the final ban message, that the account is deactivated. contacting support, they refuse to give account back, saying TOS was violated. basically, when you get banned by the actions of the script, your account is lost forever. partially its my fault for using this, i guess. i just didnt expect it would have such consequences.

i understand, that this script has a positive goal. but it seems to not work properly with discord, causing bans. im not here to talk bad about the efforts of the dev, who made this script. i just try to say facts and the chance your discord account will be banned is 100%. my issue report here on github is ony for safety reasons. until there is a solution for discord, i recommend not to use this script for discord-related tasks.

basically this script causes discord accounts to be banned. tested it, all banned after using this script. this happened when trying to automate all gleam io tasks of giveaways, where discord tasks was involved.

the exact task was a "?" task saying: join a XYZ discord server, then confirm here on gleam io. discord will see the actions of this script as spam/attack, as a violation of their TOS, and will ban/disable your account.

reproduce this at your own risk: the exact steps how it happened: it was a gleamio giveaay, where you needed to join a discord server, and then confirm. i already was in that discord server, before using the script (because another giveaway once had the same task in the past, thats why i was in the discord server already). after using the script, discord instantly banned me. (i dont know if it is important, that i already joined the discord server, even before using the script. but yes, to reproduce, maybe do it 1:1 as I did: join the discord server already, but dont confirm the task yourself yet, only join the discord server manually, but keep the "?" next to the task. after that, then use this script)

First, I didn't suspect it was the script, when it happened to one of my throw-away discord accounts a few months ago. But when using this script again recently, it happened again now exactly the very moment when I was using the script. That's why I am 100% sure it must be the script.

In 4.2.30 if you set the discord task to global off and click 'Continue without Reminders' in the pop-up prompt, it will no longer pop reminders and ignore the discord task.
