How the game currently works is that there are multiple rounds of combat (potentially hundreds), until all units on one side are either dead or surrendered. Are you suggesting that you'd like combat to pause after each round so you can see what happened? Or are you suggesting something else?
My understanding is that combat consists of a sequence of phases by weapon type (e.g. for ground combat indirect, direct, close, psy): https://emperor-of-the-fading-suns.fandom.com/wiki/Combat
Having watched videos of the old release version of EFS on Youtube running in a Win 95 emulator, you used to get some killed/routed etc. stats after the phases of each weapon type.
As-is, having some numerical feedback on unit performance would be welcome. I can see two relevant statistics:
This could be then filtered by unit type, letting us evaluate how well a given unit (type) did against specific enemy unit (types).
There might be some possibility to have a basic report at the very end of all combat but it would slow down combat way too much if a report were given at the end of each phase.
Description:
Expected behavior: Combat Report shown at the end of each Weapon Phase
Actual behavior: No Report is shown.
Game version:
1.51 (vanilla) on GOG
Steps to reproduce:
Checked with timers set to 10x in EFS.ini. (Ran a new game both as Li Halan & Hawkwood)
