Hi,

I really appreciate the hard work you put into this python3 version of hexrd.

However, I found it really hard for me to proceed with ff-HEDM analysis.

Could you please help me with some example .yaml input files (APS sector 1 RAMS system) and commands? I only need the output of center-of-mass position, orientation and strain tensors by using findorientations.py and fitgrains.py. I also got some problems with the calibration part using gold standard. It would be very appreciated.

Thanks,

Ye Tian

Absolutely -- we just tagged new "official" releases for hexrd and hexrdgui, and you can actually do the full ff-HEDM analysis in the GUI. I think this is a good way to understand the config file that can be used for batch analysis in the CLI. I will be posting some short videos to the hexrd youtube page, and I'll let you know here when they are live, ok?

Thank you, looking forward to the videos.

FYI -- the latest conda packages are ready, but if you are looking for the corresponding binaries for the GUI, they won't be up until sometime tomorrow (they need to be notarized and manually attached).

@minety -- the calibration of an instrument from ff-HEDM data can now be performed using the GUI, along with indexing and grain fitting.
