Read only mode for backup site use #2437

We have a backup machine for lena that is mirrored for assignments and so on, but as we do not synchronize in the oposite direction we need a read only mode on that machine, which alllows the user to view code examples, assignments etc but not submit data or edit examples etc which only should be possible on the "real" machine

@HGustavs , can you give a more elaborate explanation?

Is the same installation running on 2 different machines? Would it be enough to change the local file/directory permissions on the backup-machine?
