USA Staffing batch process fails on the May 24 date because of vacancy ID 10138044

Since we started the nightly production extract and load of USA Staffing data, the batch process fails on the May 24 date because of vacancy ID 10138044 (for a "Student Extern" job title). This vacancy has 2,415 records in the Certificate data set, where we would normally expect somewhere between 1 and 100 records per vacancy on any given date. This generates a result set for this vacancy ID that is too large for USA Staffing DSS to handle (the exception raised is on the DSS server). To fix this problem from the back-end, need to exclude Vacancy ID 10138044 from the nightly download. Exclude this vacancy for now; IHS will communicate this issue to end users Clarence will work with OPM to address the size limitation; Deloitte will try to figure out what the threshold is Create alert for IHS when there is a failure of the USA Staffing extract for a given day.

Christina has removed vacancy ID 10138044 and the process is now running to completion for the date at issue.

Clarence is following up with OPM to see about size or other limitations that may be causing the process to fail on vacancy ID 10138044.

An alert can be incorporated into a future release, addressing notifications to all OpDivs for their interfaces.
