Simulate wear and tear

It would be interesting to simulate long term maintenance items (wear and tear).

    • [ ] rolling when underinflated,

    • [ ] braking hard/skidding / braking and simultaneous turning
  • [ ] simulate blowup and landing/rolling with flat tire
  • [ ] Brakes
  • [ ] Engine
  • [ ] Wear and tear (TBO)
    • [ ] low oil
    • [ ] old oil
    • [ ] cold engine
    • [ ] RPM (always on high has shorter lifetime than on gearing down low)
    • [ ] Too quick opening of throttle (should make the engine also cough+die when cold)
    • [ ] high manifold pressures (to be verified)
  • [ ] old sparkplugs misfiring
  • [ ] magnetos (can they wear down?)
  • [ ] Air inlet / filter on the nose (slowly clogging by insects and dust)
  • [ ] Flap struts/hinges
  • [ ] Nicks on the prop (simulate oft ground / gravel procedures)
  • [ ] Nicks/dents on Flight surfaces (is this overexcessive?)
  • [ ] Wear of paint (probably overexcessive, too?; but could induce small levels of drag over time)
  • [ ] wear of gyro bearings
  • [ ] Light bulbs (especially taxi/landing light)

I'm planning the same thing for the 310 so I guess it could / should be developed as a FGData Nasal module shared between aircraft.

Hm, I think this is straighforward code and just a few props to be saved; so probably not worth a separate implementation. But should i tackle this issue, I surely will think of it to be modular, and if its that much, will hand it over to FGData.

Maybe the Maintenance log, that would be a good candidate? Could be a canvas dialog dynamically reading a prop tree, or something along that line :)
