Dream Catcher Feature Requests #6

Open ghost opened 9 years ago

Sorry in advance if this is the wrong place for this request but I couldn't find an working forum to submit a request to.

Feature Request 1 - It would be useful to offers users a "download all" toggle that would capture all played files (at least the ones that could be captured) without the user having to do anything. This would make downloading things like albums / playlists / series easier.

Feature Request 2 - It would also be nice if users could get more granular with naming conventions when downloading specific media types, music for eg. To allow for something like:

- Thanks

I might look into some more naming options sometime.

As for the download-all, that would pretty much mean doing a whole new service-addon to keep an eye out for whats being played. At this point in time, there's no real way to tell rather or not is a direct file or streamed content, so there's actually a need for manual input, more so since it doesn't work with all file hosts even.

great to hear about the naming options.

I assumed that since the app was capable of displaying what's now playing it would be capable of responding to a change. Just to be clear I am not suggesting Dream Catcher should be an always on background process (although that would be nice) but rather when it is open and audio and/or video is playing it assumes you want to download it, until it is closed or you tell it otherwise. In any case, it sounds like much more work that I had anticipated. In any case, Dream Catcher is one of the first apps I install when setting up Kodi and I don't see that changing any time soon - thanks for a great solution!

Any chance download can be continued while we use device. What I mean is when Kodi is not active and is running in background?
