Licence #35

Hey @JasperSnoek,

what's the story behind this licence? Are we allowed to Fork it (or are all 54 Forks illegal)? Please answer me by email (jan.gleixner (gmail)) if a private answer can be more informative.

Also, as an individual, am I allowed to use this? I'm just using it to experiment and learn on my own, so it seems in line with the license, but I have no "Institution" that I am part of. If I'm restricted from using it, I'm disappointed that it would be disallowed; it's bad enough that most interesting datasets aren't available to the general public.

The license is written to be self contained. I unfortunately can't give you an opinion on what you can or cannot do with the software without just directing you back to the exact wording that is in the license.

To bad. I deleted my fork to be sure not to distribute the modifications I made to any non-academics. Given that you don't seem to turn this into some great commercial software; I sincerely hope that you consider asking you collaborators/supervisors/institution to turn this into a potentially great open source software. -best, Jan
