I would recommend the old one for mobile. I don't think it can logically fit it. Some people want an advanced editor but I'd say if you're serious about making levels, go for PC.

Also, what's the texture pack?

Wdym cant fit it there is so much space on the sides. The buttons below could be put on the sides in a 2×3 grid. Also a lot of serious creators build on mobile, it doesnt really matter.

Texture pack is Dark Mode (use with dark mode mod for better results)

Interesting. Which aspect ratio is your display? Mine is 16:9 and I haven't noticed any leftover space in the Edit tab.

That explains it then. But yeah the buttons could still be a little bigger. Whoever uses less than 1.7X width (or height, as in cases with phones), are aliens. Maybe also just making the mod check for it would be great.
