New "Fill in notes" menu item will be added in 0.6.3. I'm planning to release
this
version next week.

I tested this feature yesterday evening. For me it's almost a spoiler for the
game.
Just click this option in the menu and you'll fastly fill your grid after that.
If
blocked just press "Fill the notes" again and don't worry to search on the grid
anymore. I divide the time needed for a sudoku by 3, could be annoying if you
challenge your friends :) This should be noted in the time result no? (Like
"Fill
notes option used X times...").

OK, I agree this can spoil game a little (especially for beginners). However I
suppose it can remove pain on harder puzzles - on some of these this notes
filling
takes substantial amount of time and is not really funny.
I need more user feedback on this. For now I've removed this option from 0.6.3
and I
will consider including it again in next version. If you need this feature, you
can
download version of OpenSudoku with auto-notes enabled here:

Autofilling all possibles isn't what I was looking for. Just an ability to auto
add 1-9 in all boxes. Let me
1work out the possibles from there.
What I normally do is fill 1-9 in all boxes then go back and remove the ones
that can't work.
This is useful, but makes it way too easy.

Love the auto notes feature. I would love to see it become part of the public
version, or at least
something that can be downloaded as a separate download with each version. Yes,
it can spoil the very
easy games, but it makes the harder games much more fun to play.

For now I've uploaded version with auto-notes here:

es.apk.
I'm going to include it in some future version.

Which version of "auto notes" did you implement - the one that fills in all 9
numbers
or the one that fills in the only possibilities for that cell?
Also, is this done for only a single cell or for all open cells in the puzzle?

Here are my thoughts on this feature. Once a player is passed the beginner
stage, filling out notes
becomes a very tedious process. For harder puzzles auto notes saves time
without detracting from the
difficulty. I just recently moved to android from winmo which had a very nice
sudoku client. Some of the
features the I miss are: auto notes (addition and removal), selected note and
number coloring, and on
the fly puzzle generation. Otherwise, this is my favorite android client so
far. But, what about the idea of
disabling this feature by default and having a setting to turn it on, like
advanced mode, or something?
