As far as I can see from the screenshots, multi-threading is currently not performed at all, or uses some fixed and unchangeable number of threads.

Thanks for this suggestion. I took a minute to think for a little bit, and thought it might not be proper to add an "advanced settings" after the operation start. It might be better to:

add an advance mode enable toggle in the settings
If advanced mode is enabled, add advance "copy, paste" in explorer's context menu, that allow you change parameters then start the operation

As you wish. It could be the implementation of a customizable Explorer context menu, as done in PDF-Tools by Tracker Software. Or general application settings, where the user can change the number of threads for the advanced copy mode. Or after selecting the advanced paste, a dialog box appears with a clarifying choice. Or for paste in the context menu, it will be possible to select the number of threads in the second-level menu...
