Signing up for AWS GovCloud account (No access to AMI) #53

I requested a limit increase on a g2x2 large instance and tried to select the AMI HPCE-2017-GPU-Image which is only available in N. Virginia. I received an email today saying that I cannot get a limit increase in any AWS GovCloud (US) Region and that I could ask for an instance increase in my local region. The AMI only exists in N. Virginia. It also said I should sign up for one AWS GovCloud account but when I click the button it says I am ineligible for signing up because I did not meet their criteria. Are there any alternative AMIs with the necessary software providers in London so I can request a limit increase and test my code quickly?

Any help would be appreciated!

Are you sure you are in the right region? GovCloud is a different thing (it's for certain types of regulatory services), so you shouldn't be launching there.

I've initiated a copy of the AMI to London, so it will become available there shortly. (I really don't want to copy to all regions, as it becomes a maintenance/cost problem).
