Fixing #227, I installed Python 3.10.9 and made the call to switch to that as the minimal supported version.
Given that, I should look at the features introduced in 3.10 (and 3.9 versions after 3.9.4, especially those through 3.9.7, which came out before 3.10.0, to see what would be useful to take advantage of.
