Automate your Office Space with Durable Functions

What would you say you do here?

Durable Functions is an extension of Azure Functions that lets you write stateful functions in a serverless compute environment (blasphemy!). You focus on your business logic and the extension helps you manage state, checkpoints, and restarts for you.

In this talk, we’ll be diving into the popular Durable Functions design patterns. We’ll discuss why you’d use Durable Functions and compare with other workflow tools like Azure Logic Apps. Finally, we’ll walk through some examples of how you could use Durable Functions to automate and streamline tasks of a typical mid-90s software company.
