Absolutely what @gjsieben said. I'm honored someone took the time to install and get this thing to work in 2017. However, this was a project in college in 2012 that I put online as a showcase. I'm sure there are much better social network projects on github than this one. Of course, feel free to go wild on this in a fork.

I highly recommend BuddyPress or Elgg.
