Add delay to loading indicator in the map mode #911

Currently loading indicators immediately become visible. There should be some waiting time before they show up, so that it won't flicker for fast operations. Some individual cases should be discussed case by case. It might be frustrating to show loading indicator too soon; yet it keeps on popping up for the user.
