Crossreference qualifier - chimeric component

As a child of cross-reference type I would like to suggest a child term 'chimeric component'

• Chimeric proteins - naturally occuring - e.g. runx1-human-protein EBI-1004920 AML1_ETO is the chimeric protein resulting from the t(8;21) sequence present two identities one has been stripped this is not ideal.
• EBI-867256 shortlabel: q15156_human_protein in this case the UniParc identity does not cause problem to IntAct but will have problems for export, trEMBL and consequently gi number can be assigned if multiple proteins can be entered without identity to show it is not one protein.
• EBI-1108795: npm_alk no sequence Translocation of t(2;5)(p23;q35) with NPM1 to give a NPM-Alk protein. identities-Q9UM73, P06748 multiple identities are present no solution problems with export and search and chaos.

The term chimeric component will also be able to deal with situations such as small molecules or sugar or lipid moities attached to the peptides etc. (I know sugars and lipids not a present problem)

Agree on addition of new cross-reference type. Why not naming it 'multiple parent reference' generic enough to label whatever case of 'hybrid' molecule with more than one primary reference, even when it is not a chimera protein.
