Disulfide bond as a feature type #114

Closed noedelta closed 8 years ago

Amazingly enough disulfide bond didn't make it into the biological feature list so it is, at the moment, possible to specify that two proteins are kept together by S-S bridge but it is NOT possible to specify what is the location of this bridge :o(

can we have a disulfide bridge added as a biological feature ? examples abound. the one which triggered the request is PMID: 17098195

your are correct this is quite amazing! I suggest duplicating the psi mod term 'half cystine' : 'a protein modification that is effectively either one half of a cystine cross-link, or a cysteine residue with one hydrogen atom or proton removed'

This is a temporary solution waiting for a formal mecanism to import terms from CV and ontology different from PSI-MI , as in requets 1582888 (5 prime overhang and 3 prime overhang -> use sequence ontology)
