When fusion proteins are used and a specific experimental role cannot be determined since it is not known if the interaction is intra or inter molecular, we annotate these with role neutral for present but a more specific term could be created. This new term 'putative self' (or any better suggestion) would be a generic parent of the existing 'fluorescence acceptor donor pair'.
Note this 'putative self' role could also make the curation issues about self phosphorilation more explicit.
