This a a term needed to annotate an experiment described in PMID: 17562316. it should be, most likely, made a child of biophysical (MI:0090) term.

Definition: During a SANS experiment a beam of neutrons is directed at a sample. The neutrons are elastically scattered by a sample and the resulting scattering pattern is analyzed to provide information about the size, shape and orientation of some component of the sample.
