a new term seems to be required to annotate experiments in PMID: 17360572 in order to be able to describe the location of crosslinker attachment. it would be a child of experimental feature.

Why not having only the cross-linkers molecules in experimental features, that can be associated to a range. As for the tags we do not have a term for 'tagged site' we directly specify the tag and its location. A generic parent term for cross-linkers could be use in ambiguous cases. I do not see the need of an extra term for cross-linking site.
