I agree on having northern blot (see MI:0929) but would prefer to have it child of 'nucleotide sequence identification', changing the meaning of a term that is potentially used is kind of wrong... I could make a parent partial nucleotide, but does it worth considering we have 'nucleotide seq id'?

Can we rechristen "partial dna sequence identification by hybridization" to "partial nucleotide....." (or add a new parent if that is a better way of doing it) and add Northern blot Definition
A standard procedure to identify RNA fragments containing specific sequences. In this procedure RNA fragments are separated by electrophoresis, the fragments are transferred to a membrane and the membrane is incubated with a radio labelled probe that hybridises any complementary subsequence.
