We need a experimental role 'competitor'. There is interaction detection method 'competition binding' MI:0405. For this we have the interactors and the competitor - currently i denote this as a inhibitor however it is not really a inhibitor.

sounds reasonable. it would help to add an example to the curation manual (IMEx) to clarify how to properly annotate a competition experiment with explicit competitor present...
