This is hybrid pooling approach to determine the interaction of bait with a selected pool of expressed cDNA. This should be enough to define the interaction detection technique. The part of the definition 'positives double hybrid clones are sequenced to identify the interacting partners.' is really part of participant identification method and should not be coupled with the interaction detection method. Thus the participant identification method can really be used independent of interaction detection technique eg. for pooling approach nucleotide sequence as well as predetermined can be used (smart pooling where one knows the pooled cDNAs.) This needs to be checked for other techniques too.
