Dot-blot is an immunological technique based on blotting a protein on a membrane (without separating the protein on SDS-PAGE) to detect the protein with an antibody, a cation, a lectin or any other ligand in a sample like tissue lysate or in a mixture of proteins.

We use MI:0049 Filter binding for dot blots - I'll add it as a synonym.
