Kinase exclusion assay #372

Hi all,

I have created a new term for kinase exclusion assay in the CV. Any amendments or suggestions welcomed. It is finally a child of solid phase assay. Details below.

Cheers,

Pablo.

[Term] id: MI:2167 name: kinetic exclusion assay def: "In the kinetic exclusion assay one of the interaction components (bait) is immobilized to a solid phase (beads) and is used to capture the prey from a solution containing free molecules of both the prey and the bait that has reached kinetic equilibrium. This mixture of free components is only allowed to contact the immobilized bait for a very short time, so bait-prey complexes do not dissociate. The immobilized bait captures a small percentage of the prey, which is proportional to the free prey concentration, and the captured prey is detected usually via a fluorescent tag." [PMID:15674023] subset: PSI-MI_slim synonym: "kinetic exclusion" EXACT PSI-MI-short [] synonym: "kinexa" EXACT PSI-MI-alternate [] is_a: MI:0892 ! solid phase assay created_by: ppm creation_date: 2015-04-27T15:51:46Z
