Define Metadata DB schema

What databases do we need:

Site data (name, short name, PI, PI email...)
Instruments
...

What do you think @clemgoyens and @pdevis?

I think we should use the metadata diagram in Fig. 3. So this means either:

system-id from metadata.txt leads to (1) site info, (2) instrument, (3) auxiliary information, ... Or:
site info and instrument ID from header and metadata.txt leading to system-id (containing all possible IDs from auxiliary instrumentation and other metadata fields)

My opinion is to make a full metadata database with per default having all fields on "Undefined/Unknown" such that anything that is not filled in will remain empty but there is room to provide it once the instrument is ready for deployment and data to be distributed? Cause once we distribute the data we need to have these fields ... at least if we want to follow the FAIR principles. What do you think?
