Explain the difference between intrinsic and extrinsic motivation: Intrinsic motivation comes from within. Extrinsic motivation comes from outside.

What factors make a student find an activity as interesting and engages in it? So i guess lots and lots of things. But overall i would say it comes back to a form of these three points:

Expectancy: How hard do i perceive a task to be? Value/satisfaction: Will i get relevant value/satisfaction from doing this task? Competence: Do i feel like i have the competence to do this task

How can we use the Model of Intrinsic Motivation when teaching or helping students? Do you think it can help? Hmm i think it can yes. Especially regarding making real world exercises, that are not too hard and focuses on only one thing.

I think its helpful for a teacher to be aware of a task and how hard it is. Because then maybe extra value can be put on fx the Value or the relatedness of the task. Thereby hopefully increasing motivation

Out of the different motivation strategies, which resonates the most with you and why? A combination of Continuum of Self-Determination and Expectancy – Value – Cost Model

Expectancy – Value – Cost Model is easy to understand and resonates with me. But i think it misses the competence and relatedness part (even though this is done mostly through the value)
