EV3Dev Supported Ralink WIFI Dongle not detected by yocto image

Hi, I'm trying to get my Ralink WIFI dongle to work on the h4r_ev3_ctrl image and it's not being recognised when I run connmanctl. I know the dongle works perfectly on EV3DEV when I use the original image but not the h4r_ev3_ctrl one despite being listed as a supported dongle
