ArtPaint could use a nicer app icon #463

The current icon is just a sphere with the letter 'A' cutting through it. It doesn't indicate "art" or "painting" at all.

Re-branding, eh? :) The current logo was a re-interpretation of the original 1990's bitmap icon. I'm open to a new icon, but good original icons are hard...

If there's a nostalgic reason for keeping it, it's fine, but it just really is very plain. I mean sure, Adobe's offering is just "Ps" in a square but we can be better than that, no? :laughing:

It's fine to change it, after all you brought ArtPaint already a far way beyond what it was in BeOS days. Designing a new vector icon isn't easy though... Maybe we should ask zuMi if he's up for the challange to come up with something original.

I was thinking just keep the A and replace the sphere with a paint can?
