Labels next to the icons? #91

The icons are kind of confusing, as there is a play button that plays the podcast, but then there's a hand button that isn't for pausing or stopping the podcast, but is actually for stopping its download. Perhaps group the download buttons together and place them further from the play button? Or place labels next to or underneath the icons so users won't have to spend time hovering over the icons to figure out what each one does.

There are tooltips on each buttons

BachToTheFuture commented 6 years ago

@janus2 That's actually the problem lol. The tooltips aren't enough, and no one wants to spend time hovering over all the icons to find out what they do. It's not as good as having labels directly under the icons.

The Symbols for pause and stop are well known. I don't see the problem.

All the actions are present in the menus (menu bar and pop up menu). You can even hide the toolbar.

@janus2 Ok. I get your point, but still: theres a button for playing the podcast, but then right next to it, when users expect the usual "pause podcast" button, it's a button for downloading and pausing the podcasts' downloads. If we don't need those labels for these buttons, the "play" button and the download buttons should at least be separated.
