In general

• Is this dataset a new version of: https://catalogue.hakai.org/dataset/ca-cioos_ef59cc12-5031-4c65-b379-7ca03ad76d34 ? Looking at the abstract it seems like this record would be a continuation of data published before?
• From the GitHub repo, it would appear the preferred title would be: Observed precipitation from small coastal watersheds in British Columbia, Canada between 2018 and 2020 v1.0.0 ?

Dataset Identification

• I could recommend perhaps adding some more keywords, i.e. where the data was collected
• It would be good to include a date published field which should be whenever this version of the data is first made available (whenever you update the Git hub repository to 'public')
• Despite that the data collection is ongoing, I would include the end date of when the data for this particular version was collected. [we're going to change this in the recommendations & metadata guidelines].

Contact

• Add Hakai Institute as Publisher
• I would suggest writing out your names in full in the contact section, and where possible add ORCIDs -- if you have any questions about ORCIDs or how to register for these, please let me know.
• The title doesn't match the recommended citation for this dataset, as listed in GitHub: Floyd WH, Haughton E, Hateley S. (2020). In light of this, can you verify that the authors are in the correct order (and spelling is correct, e.g. WH Floyd vs WC Floyd)?

• From the changelog file, it would appear the current version would be 1.2? I think the version would still be v1.0, as any changes you've made were made prior to publication of the data. Additionally, your changelog mentions: Precipitation dataset - Kwakshua Watersheds Program, Hakai Institute -- was this perhaps the old name for the data record?
