In the current version of the mod if you select landing it will simply drop you from the height specified. This isn't bad if you're reasonably quick o the trigger with whatever engines you may have, but it would be nice to have an option (button? check box?) to force a gentle landing where the mod will gradually lower your height until the base of the craft is at or just 1 m above the surface, then release.
