the whole point of the AI is to own the station and make it difficult for others, there are plenty of tools to deal with it. bring thermite, plasma drills, plasma charges, or tools if you are cov or c12, tools, or thermite if you are human
dont forget about AI dumb chips too, it makes the AI's life suck
I think that bolted doors becoming invincible is nothing but old shitcode which has never been addressed, and I think that's enough to warrant removal. Considering the fact that boarding is usually already disliked by a lot of people because it's a lot more tedious than ground combat, as you have to slog through airlock after airlock, I don't think leaving this oversight in would be good for the game.
Along with the other tools mentioned (thermite, C12, plasma breaching charge, plasma drill, tools) explosives should be another option. I'd definitely like to see spankers and FRCs as a valid door breaching method.
Broken doors that are bolted needs to be addressed though. Them being invincible is definitely unintended, although getting through a door by means other than listed here is also unintended eg shooting them with guns or ordinary melee weapons like plasma sword or machete.
Can't you disassemble bolted doors using the right tools
Description of issue
Bolted airlocks are currently completely indestructible via brute force by anything but C12. This means that an AI can grind a round to a complete halt if the other team doesn't have either hacking tools or C12. Rounds that end up like this effectively freeze and do not end until the forced events that push rounds along, resulting in heavy pop drop.
Difference between expected and actual behavior
Currently, the way to forcefully open doors is to damage them enough so that they "break" then crowbar them open. However, if the door is bolted and someone "breaks" it it becomes impossible to crowbar, hack, or destroy (except via c12). This change would allow the door to be completely destroyed through more damage, even after it is bolted.
