Constant failure to crosspost since last week #167

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Create a new post
2. Publish it
3. Observe error message

What is the expected output? 

A mirror of my post to LiveJournal

What do you see instead?

(-32300 : transport error - could not open socket)

What version of the plugin are you using? 

2.3.2

What version of WordPress?

3.5.0 and 3.5.1 (upgraded today)

Please provide any additional information below.

Has been happening constantly since late last week. Same error when posting new 
entries or updating existing ones.
